Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using SchemeCheck. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

1. About SchemeCheck

SchemeCheck is a technology platform operated by SchemeCheck IT Solutions, based at Nallurahalli Main Road, Siddapura, Whitefield, Bangalore — 560066, Karnataka, India ("SchemeCheck", "we", "us", or "our"). We provide a free WhatsApp-based service that helps Indian citizens discover the benefits they may be eligible for — including central and state government welfare schemes, private and CSR programs, and government and private scholarships.

SchemeCheck is an independent, private technology platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any government body, ministry, department, corporate foundation, trust, or scholarship authority.

2. Eligibility

You may use SchemeCheck if you are at least 18 years of age, or are accessing the service on behalf of a minor with appropriate legal authority. By using our service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Nature of the Service

SchemeCheck is an informational discovery tool. We:

• Match your self-reported profile against publicly available eligibility criteria for government schemes, private and CSR programs, and scholarships.
• Provide guidance on application procedures, required documents, and nearest service centres.
• Do not guarantee that you will be approved for any scheme or scholarship by the relevant authority.
• Do not process, submit, or represent scheme or scholarship applications on your behalf.

Final eligibility and approval decisions rest solely with the respective government department, scheme provider, or scholarship authority. We are not responsible for changes to scheme or scholarship criteria, discontinuation of programs, or any decisions made by those authorities.

4. Accuracy of Information You Provide

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and truthful information when using SchemeCheck. Providing false information to obtain scheme or scholarship eligibility results does not create any entitlement to benefits, and we are not liable for results based on inaccurate inputs. We reserve the right to refuse service if we have reason to believe information provided is intentionally misleading.

5. Free Service

SchemeCheck is provided free of charge to citizens. We will never ask you for payment to discover or apply for schemes or scholarships. If you are asked for payment by anyone claiming to represent SchemeCheck for access to any benefit, please report it to us immediately at schemecheck.support@schemecheck.com.

6. Privacy and Data

Your use of SchemeCheck is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) 2023. By using the service, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, software, branding, and technology associated with SchemeCheck — including the scheme-matching engine, user interface, and content — are proprietary to SchemeCheck and protected under applicable Indian and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the service without our prior written permission.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable Indian law.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or data.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or systematically extract data from SchemeCheck.
• Impersonate any person, government authority, or entity.
• Use the service to harass, defraud, or harm others.
• Introduce malicious code, viruses, or disruptive elements into the service.

Breach of these prohibitions may result in immediate termination of your access and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement authorities.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that: (a) the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components; (b) scheme or scholarship information will always be current, complete, or accurate; or (c) any particular match will result in successful application or approval.

Scheme and scholarship details, eligibility criteria, and benefit amounts — whether offered by government bodies or private/CSR providers — are subject to change at any time without notice. We endeavour to keep information up to date but cannot guarantee real-time accuracy.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SchemeCheck and its founder, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service — including but not limited to loss of anticipated benefits, reliance on scheme information, or decisions taken based on our results.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall not exceed ₹1,000 (Indian Rupees One Thousand).

11. Third-Party Services

SchemeCheck is delivered via WhatsApp, a service of Meta Platforms, Inc. Your use of WhatsApp is governed by Meta's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for WhatsApp's conduct, availability, or data practices.

12. Modifications to the Service and Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of SchemeCheck after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify you of material changes via our WhatsApp channel and by updating the "Last updated" date on this page.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of SchemeCheck shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

Before initiating legal proceedings, you agree to first contact us at schemecheck.support@schemecheck.com and allow us 30 days to resolve the matter informally.

14. Grievance Officer

In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) 2023 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, our designated Grievance Officer is:
